About Me

My name is Dan Aldous, a returning student to EWU after a 14 year hiatus. I have always had an interest in computing and am aiming to earn my bachelors in Computer Science.

I am A+ Certified and Network+ Certified
I have also been working towards my CCNA, I earned my CCENT back in February 2012. I am currently working as a network analyst for a fiber-optic backbone carrier, specializing in DWDM technologies but also carying circuits over SONET, CWDM, and the occasional odd DS3 circuit. Washington State has just become an interesting place for broadband connectivity with the Broadband Technology Opportunity Program (BTOP) allocating grant money to run hundreds of miles of fiber optics to underserved rural areas throughout Washington state.

I am married, have 3 children, 2 Chihuahuas , and spend my free time showing my son how to build stuff in Minecraft.
